| Sometimes history is created by a stroke of
luck. In 1988, Kawasho Corporation sent a Japanese national by the
name of Tadashi Komenoi to the Philippines for a five-year tour of duty.
By a fortunate twist of fate, Mr. Komenoi was also a 3rd Dan practitioner of
Aikido. Shortly after his arrival, Mr. Komenoi resumed his practice at
Makati YMCA Aikido Dojo, and eventually became their Chief Instructor. On
November 21, 1992, Aikido Philippines (AikiPhil) gained recognition as an
accredited Aikido organization under the Aikikai Hombu Dojo. The previous
Doshu, the late Kisshomaru Ueshiba, signed the certificate of
recognition. In 1994, Kawasho Corporation recalled Mr. Komenoi back to
Japan. Aikido Philippines however relied on its own strength and
flourished despite being orphaned by the departure of Mr. Komenoi.

publication, AsiaSpa. (The AsiaSpa
Awards are designed to celebrate innovation in the Asian spa and wellness
industry, with almost 30 independent spa experts comprising the judges’ panel).
Amezcua Wellness Centre in Manila is the first of a
series of properties under the Amezcua brand name. It will open its second
branch in the new Prana Resort and Spa in Koh Samui, Thailand in 2008, and is
embarking on an expansion project in key cities in Asia.

International
Sheng Zhen Society | Master Li Jun Feng is the principal teacher of Sheng
Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong. Presently, he tours the US, Canada, South America, and
Europe throughout the year. He is training and certifying others to become
teachers to thereby help spread the practice throughout the world. He is also
the head of International Sheng Zhen Society, the foundation which propagates
the practice of Wuji Yuan Gong. Master Li is best known for having been the
head coach for the world renowned Beijing Wushu Team of the People's Republic
of China. After practicing and teaching wushu (martial arts) and training
champions for many years, he gave all that up to devote his time to teaching
Wuji Yuan Gong to the world. It is his deepest desire to share the blessings he
has received and all that he has attained in practicing this loving form of
qigong.
Master Li Jun Feng travels to teach, to practice
with his students, and to simply spend time with them. In so doing he shares
his wisdom, his understanding, his love - his entire being, so that others too
may experience the joy and contentment that permeates his life. Master Li
embodies the spirit of Sheng Zhen. Simply being with him enables one to grasp
and experience the depth and the beauty of this loving practice. |
